Water Treatment Plant Operator – Job Opening

The City of Auburn Board of Public Works is accepting applications for Water Treatment Plant Operator. Applicants must possess a Water Operator Grade III License and a Grade IV Wastewater Operator License with the ability to upgrade to a Grade II Water Operator License within one year of hire.
Other requirements are: an educational level equivalent to high school graduation; work experience in maintenance and repairs of water and waste water distributions systems; knowledge of the functions, mechanics, and repairs of pumps, electric motors and other mechanical equipment; some experience in SCADA controls; be able to keep records and perform mathematical computations; have a valid CDL Driver’s license; and have an acceptable driving record. Candidate will be subject to a criminal background check and drug screening.
The starting pay rate for this position is $19.45 to $23.00 per hour depending
